After Hours

Our office provides after-hours triage service during the following hours:

Monday-Friday 5 pm-midnight
Saturday-Sunday 7 am-midnight

From midnight to 7 am, contact your nurse hotline provided free by your insurance company. This information can be found on your insurance card.

6/18/2019****Update: Please note your triage call may result in a bill to your insurance and you. If this is not a true emergency, please call our office during normal business hours. An example of a good use of our after-hours triage nurse would be asking her if your child needs to go to the Emergency Room or if they can wait until the office is open the next business day.

Our favorite urgent care facilities include:

  • Phoenix Children’s Urgent Care (northeast corner of 51st Avenue and 101 Highway)

If your child or teen has a life-threatening emergency such as seizure, turning blue, choking, electrical burn, apnea or loss of consciousness, please call 911 and not our triage line. If your child eats or is exposed to a poison, chemical, medication that is not theirs, or is stung by a scorpion, please call poison control at 1-800- 222-1222.

Finally, please utilize our website. We have loads of information about common childhood illnesses and dosing of common medications such as Tylenol, Ibuprofen and Benadryl. During office hours, we have wonderful triage nurses who are happy to answer any routine questions you may have.

On-Call Providers

If you have a question outside of normal business hours, please call the main office number, follow the appropriate prompts,  and our answering service will answer your question or reach out to a provider to contact you back. Please save routine questions (mild illness, appointments, prescription refills) for the morning.


Emergencies

If an emergency should arise, please call 911.

Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc. In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first for instructions.
